Fall and winter weddings are so much fun to plan! From yummy warm cocktails to rich, jewel tone palettes there are endless possibilities- without using the traditional orange and pumpkins or holly and snow. I love the savvy bride who can think beyond those traditional images and come up with her own style and her own vision.
RED! I love red. Red is alive. Red is smashing in photos and red can be mixed with so many other colors and used in all facets of your wedding planning. Red signature drinks, red flowers that aren’t roses, red shoes- RED is a versatile color. And, in an Indian wedding, red just says we are here to celebrate and it makes a statement along with all the other jaw dropping elements of the Hindu wedding ceremony.
Start with red and then add another vibrant jewel tone to make your fall wedding pop. Orange or gold gives you that warm, sweater weather feeling of mild days and crisp nights. Or, blend shades of red, with naturals, like evergreen or eucalyptus to make your wedding look like a wedding in the woods. Drapes instead of table linens, on wood tables, or garlands instead of big centerpieces can give you that unique touch of organic elegance. And, of course there is always black or purple to bring just a hint of mystery to your wedding vision.
Winter weddings have endless possibilities! And, there is no Christmas here, even if you like the idea of a December wedding. Using greens, pine cones, red flowers, berries, or other natural beauties, you can create a winter themed wedding using red as your pop of color. Red bridesmaid dresses as a backdrop for a bouquet of white ranunculus or white dahlias, with something red to accent the bouquet. Red shawls or sweaters bring the warmth outside for those photos in the snow.
I LOVE RED! And you will love dreaming in RED.
